Kathy Hall Campitelli is an artist who makes oil paintings, etchings, and lino cuts. Her goal as an artist is to realize Hegel's definition of art as, "representing the highest ideas in sensuous forms". Therefore she uses realistic imagery as symbols to help tell the story of her works.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1952, she received her B.A. from the University of California at Irvine, CA in 1974 and her M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate School in 1977.
Kathy has exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Riverside Art Museum and galleries in California, Oregon, and Canada. In addition, she has lectured at UCLA, USC, UCI, CSPU, and Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. Kathy has been awarded a Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship and numerous Disney Grants.
